We want to create a documentary on the process of making music. We want to show the specifics of the in and outs of music production. We want to add a twist by making it interactive; this would give the viewer the option to chose what genre of music they want to learn about so people get what they want out of it and aren’t simply watching a documentary from beginning to end. This DocuTape’s main goal is to influence people, as well as teach them, the start to making music, how to get into creating music, and where to go (hopefully) in the future of making music. It will follow me and Austin Smith on our journey to a hopeful success. It will watch us as we create, find, and discover new music in our lives.<\/span><\/p>\n What is lacking, or what is the opportunity, in a field or community that interests you? Today’s music is coming down to be solely based on the instrumentals and less on the lyrics. This isn’t to say that all music is like this, but the popular pop and rap songs of today have changed from what they used to be 10-20 years in the past. Producers have been affected by the lack of credit\/payment in the past, but now it’s all changing.
