Amos -A4

  1. The protagonist of this film is a nameless man who enters an elevator. The beginning crisis of the film is that the elevator keeps stopping at each floor on his way up. After more and more people get on he is unsure of what to do during the crisis after he becomes aware that the elevator is over crowded. After he makes the decision to switch elevators his new problem is worrying about whether or not he has the swine flu which leaves the viewer intrigued and asking questions.

2.  A. The film focuses mostly on the upper body of all people on the elevator to focus the viewer on the facial expressions that the people have as more and more of them get on the elevator.

B. The whole film is rather bright and is lit the way that a normal office/elevator would be.

C. The colors are overall rather dim and not very bright other than the large man who enters the elevator wearing a bright shirt to draw attention to him.

D. The was filmed digitally I’m assuming, the quality of film could be better but it still works nicely.

3. The camera is in a fixed position for all shots in this film with no panning. The main character is always near the center of the frame. There is not much depth in any of the shots because the subjects all the same distance from the camera.

4. The overall style of this film is meant to comedic which can be told by the contrasting demeanor of people in the elevator versus the main character, and the sound effects of played during certain scenes.
