The protagonist is the guy who goes inside the elevator. The crisis of the film is him going to the top floor. The struggle is the elevator coming closer and closer to the weight limit as people join to the top floor. The video ends at the top floor getting into a new elevator of sick people.
The video was in focus and moved your vision as it should. The video was bright enough to see but bright enough to remind you, you’re inside an elevator. The colors were warm and vibrant with the clothing of the people. Overall the shots looked very good.
The screen aspect ratio was good for reminding you, you’re in an elevator. The movement of the camera was perfect and close ups made you feel claustrophobic. The depth in framing was another way to convey this feeling.
Overall, all the decisions made by the director were for a purpose and in this case, it was to build tension or to make you feel like you are there in the scene as well. All these things are successful at capturing your attention.
