The characters were introduced in a small village in South-Africa. However, the village were conquered by the European. Three main characters were introduced. First, a small African boy that lived with his family and forced to work under one of the European family. Second, the old man that lived in the village and have some African people working under him including the small boy. Third, it is a dog that the boy loves and pets him. They are good friends.

The old man character was cold-heart, quite, and demanding. The boy was playful and clever. However, one of the scenes showed that he is clever when he talked back to his boss (the old man) “But, he will think that I did it to him.” as he was asked to open the bag after the old man put the dog in the bag and started to kick the dog. The dog is innocent and did not know how the cruel world is.

The setting portrayed is in a small village that showed many African traditions and cultures. How they have been treated in the past by the European. It was warm and fun tones in which they use many songs that related to South-African.

The types of shots are medium-close up, low angle, wide-angle and two shots. The filmmakers use the photography to show the traditions and cultures of South-African. Playful drum sounds were using along the short movie. This shows the happiness of people in a village even though they were under the European.

It was a short movie within 16 minutes, using sounds and body expression to output the emotions and feelings of the characters in the movie. It was slow pace as to allow the characters to express the emotions. The shot of the dog got beaten was the starting point of the meaning of the story. The boy has grown up and finally not be able to be friend with the dog after the incident. The master only allowed the dog to loyal to himself and not others. This affected the outcomes of the end scene of the movie.

In the first part was interesting to the traditions and cultures of South-African but on continuing it was sad and emotional. The master was a villain in my thoughts. The boy and the dog were good friends and innocent. The story built to teach the lesson about Karma. There is always a result to every actions we did.
