To be a girl and The elevator will be analyzed in this section.

  1. Story Elements:

The man who tried to go up to the floor that he wished. However, he has to face many unwanted consequences.

The “Water-aids” campaign that filmed women that had to experience something that unlikely should not happened to them.

Beginning: 1)The challenge was that the man has to go up to the floor. He had to stand in the elevator that goes up.

2) Three women based on their lifestyles. They had a hard time doing what they should not happen to them. However, they have to do to survive and to live normally in daily life. Water is important! Three different scenarios of three women facing hardship. One girl has to carry a plastic tank, walks for several miles to get them back to her house. The other girl has to bring the cow to feed them water for miles before going to school. The final girl has to walk past men that criticizing her using a public restroom.

Middle: 1)The struggle that appeared to the character in the film was that the man facing to stand in the elevator and each and every floor they will be over-weight people coming in, he was worried about the elevator would not be able to carry out the weighs 2000 lb. Finally, he met the floor with the biggest man wanted to come in and decided to get off and be relieved.

2) The story introduced on how these girls lifestyle and how they were being treated. With the help of the organization would spread awareness and help them to have a better life. Water usages awareness.

End: 1) The man finally decided to take the other elevator however not many over-weight people in life and he seemed to be relieved at first. Later on, he found out that life was actually full of people having swine flu. This shows us how he tried to run away from something bad however facing the even worse situation.

2) The campaign provided details and ideas of their concepts. Mostly spreading an awareness of water usage and how we can save them to help people who need fresh water.

2. Manipulation Light

a.1) The focus is mostly point up to the main character and changes to people when they need to focus on their action that will appear to connect with the main actor.

2) Mostly shots are close and medium shots. The filmmaker would like to focus on the lifestyle and reaction of the girls in the film. He wanted the audience to carefully look on how the characters are facing problems and needed helps.

b) 1) Not really different much in light. The brightness and darkness almost constant and not many contrast.

2) The brightness and darkness are also kept normally. Not really do something particular too dark or too happy.

c. 1) Nice use of color. I like how the tone gives me the feeling of comedy and how the main actor actions provides joy and laughable.

a. 1) The elevator screen mostly shown thee action in the elevator. It provide the audience the space in the elevator.

2) To be a girl short movie. It provides us the clear aspect and ratio between the surrounding and the persons. They focus on people activities to describe what they are.

b. 1) In my opinion, the shaking movement in the film is very creative and however could make the audience agree to that the elevator is elevating down very quickly due to an over-weight.

2) Movement of camera mostly interact with the activities of the three main girls in the story. It is following the movement of their activities.

c. 1) The composition and depth in the movie creating the space of elevator where everyone always have a thought of them being small and will be uncomfortable when more people are standing in.

2) The composition of this movie are the focus of activities of the person. It makes good depth to provide more surrounding aspect. So, we can see how the atmosphere of the characters are living in.

4. Visual Style

  1. The elevator, provide non-verbal movie however using sound effect and the movement of the camera to tell the story. The action of the characters provide the consequences in the story.
  2. To be a girl: in this visual we have seen many activities, surrounding and details word of awareness from the filmmaker. The promotional video trying to provide the audience the ideas and the concepts of what they are aiming for.
