A – Self Reflection
- For me, the most difficult challenges of this project was A.) Filming, because I don’t really have that creative vision, I’m better at editing. And B.) The actual editing, although this is because of the personal circumstances I was presented with.
- The most enjoyable part was coming up with the idea and attempting to put it all together. It came out completely different in my head than the actual project, so I have some work cut out for me, haha.
- I was most proud of syncing up the audio pretty well and going out of my comfort zone. I made all the sounds in the video by myself from scratch, so that is also what I am very proud of.
- During this project I learned that I need to take more time to plan out shots instead of being spontaneous with them. Although it is easier to just go without a solid plan, in the end it’s a lot harder.
B – Video Analysis
- Throughout the whole thing, there are a variety of shots. Some medium shots, full body shots. But towards the second half of the video there are mainly all close up shots of my hands and the papers to emphasize the importance of what I am doing.
- There is music and audio, which is the whole driving point of the video. It supports the story because it is the story.
- The pace of editing is kind of spread out. In the beginning the shots are slower and more spread out then towards the end they are quicker and the audio cuts through more clear.
- I am slightly satisfied. My camera work could have been more clear and my audio could have been better, but then again, things can always be better.
