It was a cold December day. My cousin and I were at Loon Mountain. As we were skiing into the park area he was hitting some small jumps. He is a much more talented freestyle skier than I am . With every bit of air he caught his jacket would pick up the wind and open almost in slow motion. As he caught speed to hit the big jump, his knees slowly bending, he did a 180. He was now heading towards the jump backwards. With his eyes looking over his shoulder the back of his skis slowly started to curve with the jump. As his body was thrown into the air he started to spin. His body has now gone a full 360 degrees. He needed another 180 degrees to complete his trick. He started to become too close to the landing of the jump. With only a little bit of the turn left, the tip of his skins caught the snow. A cloud of snow flew into the air. He was ejected from both of his skis. Flying towards the ground head first. He made impact, his body doing a front flip. As he rolled over with his goggles hanging around his neck he noticed a pain in his shoulder. He hopped up, put his skis back ion and skied toward the bottom of the mountain. Once he had safely gotten to the lodge he took of his jacket. He took off his sweatshirt, brandishing a dislocated shoulder.
