Project 1 – ThanisornJ

Script

First scene,

In the dorm room.

In the first scene, the main character just woke up and realized that he was late for the class.

He quickly pushes himself up and tries to grab his phone to look at the time.

“Late for class again.”

He looks around and grab his bag and go to the college.

(there were many bottles set up to make the character went to the party, drank a lot, and hangover.)

We decided to shoot the scene in the first person. It is quite difficult to adjust the angle. But, we wanted to hide the message behind the name of the short movie “See it, to believe it.” that the main character has to change and to find himself in a better way.

Second scene,

In the hallway to the room, and the classroom.

The main character reached his classroom. It was the day that the corrected papers are given back. The main character did not do well in the test. So, he was disappointed and angry.

He bangs the desk. To express his feeling.

Conversation part with his best friend. He had a fight with his friend. As he did not do what he promised him to do so. His friend started to express his angriness towards the main character.

“Hey, what’s happening man?!” said the main character

“Hey, you know man! ” said his friend

“Why do you so mad?!” said the main character

“Why don’t you tell me about last night ?” said his friend

“Ohhh …” said the main character

“I thought that we gonna hang together. I set aside time with my girlfriend. So, we can have some bro’s time and enjoy the game. And you decided the last night beer pong is your game. Can’t really see yourself right now, can’t you? Come to a class hangover, fail all your class. Next time you want to hang out don’t call me. I don’t play a game!! “

The bell rings.

The main character was down and walked back to his dorm room.

We decided to choose many door opens scene. To allow us to edit like he is walking back in and out the dorm. It is still kept first person as he did not find himself yet.

Third scene,

In the dorm room,

The main character came back from his class. Throw his bag on the couch. He started to realize that alcohol does not do good to his life. He should change himself. Start to study, clean up his room, and to have a better mindset.

He walks to his restroom. Finally, he sees himself. he decides that drinking and partying not the key answer to his life.

He talked to himself in the mirror asking “Who am I ?” to set his mind to change his lifestyle.

He started to clean the mirror. It makes him to see himself more.

“I see myself now.”

Fourth scene,

“Hey man, you are right about me all long. I didn’t see who I was?”

“I just stupid. The thing that you said in the class.”

Flashback to the classroom conversation.

“I just hoping you give me another chance. I change now. “

Flashback to he started to change his lifestyle.

“Also, I got the front row tickets for both of us.”

“Yes!!” he stood up happily and cheer as his friend forgive him.

Fifth scene,

“Sometimes, you just get to see it to believe it. Tomorrow is a new day.”

End credit.

We took several shots and decided to give videos to everyone to do editing. because we want to see how different perspectives of us in the group can work on. Adobe Premiere Pro is new to me and it was fun to play and using it. We decided to shoot many different angles to learn how it should be.

1. Who are these two characters?

The main character is to show how his college life is. He wanted to change himself. To see himself. (first person to third person perspective in the video). His friend who is caring and worrying about the main character and even angry at him because the main character did not do what he promised.

2. What led up to the event?

Woke up realizing he was late to class. Receive a bad grade. Fight with his friend. Later, decided to change himself.

3. How will the short begin? What action or image will initiate the scene?

The shot begins in the first person perspective to make the viewer understand that the character is unknown and would not know how he looks. Action will gradually change into a third-person perspective when the main character realized himself.

4. What will bring about an end to the scene? With what image will it close?

End scene. He will be good with his friend. They will decide to go watch a game together. It will close with close up scene where the main character is on his mobile phone. Also, talk to himself at the window that we should keep moving on and be a better person.
