Report 3– Will H.

Report 3;

Process-

My role for this project was originally to film, but since Brody is roommates with our client, it was much easier for him to just do all the filming right there. My job was to edit, which I got most of my help from Nate to make sure everything was sounding and matching up correctly. We were properly prepared and completed the sound work in lab. I believe the edit was complete and appropriate but I do think that maybe we saturated a little too much of the video with visual edits. I think maybe we could’ve done a few less edits but other than that I think we did a great job. Our group worked effectively in the beginning process of this project, figuring out possible clients as well as ideas for shooting A and B roll. Everyone in my group had worked together numerous times before so it was very easy to communicate with one another if we needed something or what not.

Video Analysis-

The shots we shot were mostly close ups and and full body shots. the close ups we used to show our client doing hands on work, sowing his pieces together and the full body shots are what we used for the interview. For the B roll we mostly just did moving shots and let the editing do the work for us to add a captivating visual effect. The shots are slow and concise to draw attention to the clothes our client is making as well as the logo. The music we used in the background was a beat that was made by our client and Brody together.  The dialogue was good but I think it could’ve been a little louder. The quality of the shots are clear and precise. Theres no shakiness or blurry shots. Overall, I think the impact of the video is strong and gives the viewer an inside look on the process of garment making and what its like as a young entrepreneur here at the University.
