Hot. The air was hot with the breath and sweat of 30 students. All around me were people from all over the world I had never met before, there in my apartment. Music playing at great volume in the background. The strobe lights gleaming off the beer flags hung around the room. The smell of booze and sweat mixing with the humid air. The intense volume of the speakers had me running downstairs to see why my roommate had allowed this. But, it was too late Mo Bamba had already started playing. There wasn’t anymore pushing and shoving to get to the speakers to turn them down. “I got hoeeeessssssss”, Sheck Wes called out to me and everyone in that room. All the people now flailing their arms and screaming out the lyrics of the song playing. “It’s too late”, I muttered to myself. I knew the cops would show up any minute. And if perfectly on queue, Adam, my roommate, yelled “Cops!” The entire room fell completely silent, heads turned to Adam by the front door. My heart sank and everyone stood motionless. I took three steps towards Adam, hearing nothing but my heartbeat. I turn back to see…nothing. Every single person had left the apartment in the time it took me to walk three steps. Nothing but the carcass of a lively party remained. I looked at Adam, and smiled. We both had a quick laugh in awe, that we were the only ones left in the room, and then opened the door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They let me off with a warning! Moral of the story is to never throw a party in your own apartment. I have a microphone and a phone stabilizer that can be used to film\/record this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
