A. Think about an interesting action event<\/em><\/strong> you have witnessed in person during the past month. It may involve one person or multiple people. For this writing exercise, you will describe that event as if you were describing a series of moving images, one after another. Below describe beginning, middle and end of the scene using words, images and\/or storyboard sketches.
1. Introduce the scene. a. What is the setting? b. What led up to the event? Is there any description that can help to set the scene properly and dramatically? 
2. Describe the actions of the scene. As you present us with a person or people, have their actions define their character. You may also give physical description. 
3. At the end of the scene, remember to present only a physical description of the actions that you witnessed and the last descriptions of what was seen.
4. What kind of gear (cameras, tripods, sound recording, etc) do you plan to use? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I wanted to describe in this scene is recognition, or a deeper understanding. I was recently talking with a professor about an idea I had that would be a good fit for a grant they will be writing. I left this conversation feeling satisfied that I everything I have learned in new media contributed to this project idea. The setting is a nondescript university classroom after class, any room with desks or tables is sufficient. The events leading up to the event were a very in depth discussion in class. A good way to set the scene would be to have an individual represent a professor say something along the lines of “Good discussion in class today. I want you to think about what we talked about and do (some task) for next class,” basically just provide some dialogue that insinuates that a discussion took place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is not much action in the scene, it’s mostly excited discussion between the two individuals. For this discussion the main action that shows character is excited hand motions during the discussion. This would indicate that this character has clearly thought about their idea and are excited to share it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gear needed for this scene would be a tripod and audio recorder. Getting the lighting right could be tricky, but that could be solved by choosing a different setting<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
