Why are they important?<\/p>\n\n\n\n The three moments that stand out to me are; First, the prisoner riding in the back of the van saying, \u201cWhy me, Why me?\u201d This was important because, it shows the idea that maybe they didn\u2019t have the right idea before they took this guy into custody. Second, the fast cut torcher scene showing how violent they were to the prisoner. This was important because, it shows that this will obviously be a violent movie because the event in the past was violent and that is why it is significant. Third, the contrast of him making gun gestures with this, sort of making fun of the situation. This was important because, it shows that maybe it isn\u2019t clear that they have the wrong guy during this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A. There are news cast where most of the CEOs are called \u201cBad Apples\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n List the types of footage and visual and sonic elements of the documentary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The types of footage and visual and sonic elements of the documentary used in this film that were done is stick with the bad apple theme by talking about the CEOs being bad and the robot pulling apples from a tree and slicing them up while this is happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Pick three moments that stand out to you. Why are they important?<\/p>\n\n\n\n The three moments that stand out to me are; First, The fast-changing list of logos. This was important because, it shows just how many corporations this film wants to find the truth about. Second, the news casters calling everyone bad apples. This was important because, it sets the tone for the rest of the film. Third, A CEO being arrested. This was important because, it shows the severity of the film that we are being sold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n B. Structure (full length)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Break it down into three to five sections, Describe them (one sentence).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The film I would say is broken down in to three sections. The first section was meant to get you invested in the topic as well as bring you up to speed to the history of the 3d printing companies and explain how the big ones all started. The second section was to show how Makerbot quickly became the number one but also shift everything were Bre, the CEO, became not well like. The third section focused on showcasing the end were Makerbot kind of reached their top and merged with another company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What happened to transition these sections?<\/p>\n\n\n\n The transition for each of these were usually some major event such as Bre firing someone or a video about a 3d printed gun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Is the documentary narrative or non-narrative? Or do you see it somewhere in between? Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n This documentary defiantly a narrative one in the since that the interviews are well planned in a way that moves the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How does the documentary structure the images so that they are understandable?<\/p>\n\n\n\n The movie shows images in a way that are understandable by always showing images of strictly the things that they are talking about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n C. Cinematic Style (full length)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Describe the cinematography of the documentary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The cinematography of this documentary is a sequence of short but well-planned shots to showcase whatever the audio is discussing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What is the pace of the editing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n The pace of the editing is quick in the since that nothing feels long, but its slow enough to remind me this is a documentary not an action film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Do sequences move in a straightforward narrative or presentation of clearly progressing images?<\/p>\n\n\n\n In this film sequences do move in a straightforward narrative, therefore keeping everything understandable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n D. Documentarian Stance (full length)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n What are the perspectives offered about the topic during the documentary?<\/p>\n\n\n\n In this film you are offered to either side with Makerbot or side against them. This is the case because the film shows the companies in war where it is all against Makerbot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Is there any way to determine the goals of the filmmaker from the presentation of information?<\/p>\n\n\n\n In my opinion, it is quite clear the filmmaker is trying to convince the audience that Makerbot\u2019s CEO is not a good person, therefore I don\u2019t think the filmmaker likes Makerbot. This is the case because the film showcases an almost repetitive group of scenes were people are just dissing their CEO at Makerbot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What term would you select for the people responsible for this documentary: reporter; prosecutor; promoter; observer; poet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I would have to say the filmmaker of this film is an observer.
