There are also crisp sounds of crunching leaves and airy sounds that make the audio feel clear. Another effect we forget to mention is the sound of silence, which can often be more impactful than any sound at all. When they see the parents, it becomes silent when they are in a standoff.

3. Music

Right in the beginning, a theme is set. There is an old lullaby played on some sort of bells that give an eery feeling. The music in the end is the same song playing in the beginning, but the actual song this time, not just the percussive rendition played in the beginning. The music is added to add suspense and create tension.

4. Elements

The sound design adds suspense to the film and helps establish the setting. In the beginning there are leaves crunching, which helps give viewers a sense of them being in the deep woods. This means the setting is important.

1. Dialogue – 2nd video

In this video, the only dialogue we can hear from a human is when the nurse is laughing on the phone. Other than that, the only really form of dialogue that carries the scene is the use of certain amplified sound effects.

2. Effects

There was lots of sound effects throughout the video. The static from the camera, the squeaking of the shoes while being shined and the amplified sounds of the swallowing and bottle opening add lots of tension and viewer aggravation to this video. They help to put you in the shoes of the main character.

3. Music

Throughout the whole scene, there was music scattered. It was a bluegrass, country sounding track that featured guitar, bass, and harmonica frequently. This played in the beginning, quietly throughout the piece, then prominently again during the credits at the end.

4. Elements

The sound adds a lot to the film. That’s all there is, really. There is silence at some points, but without the sound effects and music, the video would lose it’s meaning. Especially the amplified annoyance sounds, if those were gone then the video would have little to no meaning.

1. Dialogue – first video we watched There is dialogue between the kids and the parents who are…

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

18,47

post-2440","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-a3","category-lab2"],"featured_image_urls_v2":
"1536x1536":"","2048x2048":"
"post_excerpt_stackable_v2":"
1. Dialogue – first video we watched There is dialogue between the kids and the parents who are growing up.
