For this project I have two ideas.\nThe first one involves were I work, UPS. They have been asking me to make a lot\nof videos lately for safety, but there is one project that I think the big\nmanagers would really love and it involves a package going from one door to\nanother, kind of all one cut almost. Or conveying the idea that it is all one\ncut. This would be a video for potential customers shopping for the service\nthat UPS provides, shipping. And what makes this promotional video a little\ndifferent is it isn\u2019t showcasing a product, but rather a service. I would\npropose doing this with a sort of time lapse like effect where it is going\nbetween fast motion, this would be acting as my, \u201cfalse cuts.\u201d And then the parts\nwhere it goes really slow, or normal speed, will be where the package hits a\nsignificant landmark along the way. I will work sound and music into this as\nwell. The fast parts will be composed of music that would make the audience\nfeel happy, but not forced. And the land marks will be composing of customer\nsmiles and communication between driver and the customer at the beginning and\nend, and other employee communication about the packages for the in between\nlandmarks. The video\u2019s purpose would be to answer the questions people have for\nwhat happens to my package after it is shipped. Because most people just don\u2019t\ntry to think about that process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My second Idea involves a local\nbusiness. I have been noticing that The Ave in Orono have been hiring a ton\nlately. I have noticed that their application process is rather strange. They\nhave been asking people to make some for of marketing ad for them. I think it\u2019s\nrather unique. Now, let me specify, they wanted something made in illustrator\nand what not. But why would they say no to a commercial. Or a video tour. This\nwould be fun to make. If it were up to me on how to do it. I would make it like\nsomething right from the travel channel. I would treat it like a person giving\na tour to the audience will showcasing all the positives of The Ave. The\naudience being potential people who may live at The Ave the following year. I\nthink it would be a really good way to convey to message and goal to get people\nto move in. I think some shots that I would really like to focus on showcasing their\namenities. There gym is huge and breath taking given the fact that it is just\nan apartment complex. I would have music through most of it, I would really\nleave that up to the client however. Something simple and happy. Most of it\nwould be dialoged from the tour guide. My second idea even, very practical.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
