Time Persists<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Dialogue<\/strong>:\nThere is quiet dialogue at the beginning of the film. After there is a few\nmoments of just pure sounds and music we can hear soft counting. There is also dialogue\nat the climatic point between the kids and the grown-ups, but it is not full on\nsentences and when the kids are playing, we hear the dialogue of them interacting\nwith each other. With the first time we hear dialogue in the beginning of the\nfilm there is other sounds like the music and the sounds of natural but all the\nother times we hear dialogue it is on its own. The dialogue occurs regularly\nbut then it changes to occasionally as the film progresses and it is delivered\nwith regular pacing as well. While the dialogue is being exchanged there is a\ncombination of the visual edits that occur between characters exchanging lines\nand cuts made while a single actor is speaking. <\/li>
  2. Effects<\/strong>:\nAt the end of the film when they draw their weapons for battle there is a sound\neffect of them pulling out their weapons. There is a lot of stress of the\nnatural sounds of the environment throughout the whole video such as the leaves\ncrunching when you are walking or the jump rope hitting the ground. The sound\nof the xylophone in the background adds to the plot of the story. <\/li>
  3. Music<\/strong>:\nLike I said above, there is the xylophone playing in the background playing\nHush Little Baby and there is a drum that sounds leading up to the big even\nwhen we first see the adults. The music is the forefront of the sound. The music\nis used to create a dramatic affect with the picture. It is used to show the childhood\nthat still lives within us.<\/li>
  4. Literary\nand Theatrical Element<\/strong>: The sound is used to create a dramatic affect throughout\nthe film. The sound is used to create a nostalgia emotion within the viewer\nbecause they were using all different types of sounds from our childhood. The\nsound helped emphasis the theme of not wanting to grow up.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Joe<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Dialogue<\/strong>:\nThere isn\u2019t really any dialogue in the film. There are really only two\ninstances of it and both times it is almost inaudible. When it occurs, it is either\nplaying from a tv or in the far distance and there is some other sounds that\nare happening over it including music. <\/li>
    2. Effects<\/strong>:\nThere are no significant sound effects that occur in the sequence. Most of the\nnoise is coming from what is being shown in the picture like steps walking or\nkeys being clicked. These sounds are enhanced heavily. When the man is sitting down,\nand the sick guy comes over and starts wiping his nose that adds to the annoyance\nthat the main character is feeling. All of the sounds just add and show what\nthe main character is going through in his everyday life.<\/li>
    3. Music<\/strong>:\nThere is a harmonic that plays in the background when the main character is\nalone and doing things himself. It is playing an upbeat kind of song which is\nironic because this picture is about someone who can\u2019t leave this place. <\/li>
    4. Literary\nand Theatrical Elements<\/strong>: The sound design adds to how we as the audience\ncan connect to what the main character is going through during the day. It\ndoesn\u2019t create drama, but it just has a bit of intensity. By enhancing the volume\nof the sounds, it allows us to understand that the sounds are really inside of\nhis head and it makes us uncomfortable at times. When he was cleaning his shoes\nby enhancing the sounds of that it allowed us to understand how important that\nprocess is to him and we were able to connect more. <\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
