Time Persists<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is dialogue in the film. Most of the dialogue has the sounds of nature behind it but there is also dialogue with the sound of chimes or a xylophone in the background. There’s a lot of whispering throughout the first half of the film, along with a decent amount of background dialogue with the girls playing jump rope. The only time there is a large amount of dialogue is when the adults confront the younger people about how it’s time to go. The dialogue is rather spaced out with significant breaks. Cuts are made when dialogue is being exchanged between the adults and the young people. The most significant sounds made in the sequence would be the faint singing along with the chimes, and the ambient forest noises playing in the background of the majority of the film. There is also a significant amount of sound made during the unsheathing of the various items held by the young people. These are used to make the scene a little more dramatic but also pretty humorously. The music of the film is what really stands out to me as the strongest element of sound in the whole film. The vocals of the child are very eerie and definitely create a very creepy atmosphere for the film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no dialogue throughout the video. Which then leaves only music and sound to tell us what’s going on within the film. Most of the sounds and foley from the film have raised audio levels so they really stand out. I believe that the music being played in the beginning and the end of the film is suppose to show that there is a connection between the events portrayed in the film. The film really puts emphasis on the sound effects through the sequence, usually accompanied by a significant breaks of silence, followed up by an abrupt sound that even surprises the characters in the film. By not having any dialogue and a lot of general silence, the film showcases the dullness and the soullessness of the setting. The saddest thing that comes from the audio would have to be the noise of the keys on the keyring, which I believe indicates the fact that people aren’t really allowed the to leave the hospital, and are instead somewhat trapped or stuck there. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
