1. Story Elements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protagonists are the members of the farm co-op.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginning: In the beginning, there are establishing shots of the farm and interviews with the main farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Middle: The main struggle for the farm was that it was so small, it was hard for them to compete with other farms, so they became allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

End: In the end, everything worked out. All their hard work on the farm had worked out and they can sell to stores and make money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Manipulating Lights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

a.) <\/strong>There were was a lot of focusing techniques with the camera. It would start on one object far, then focus in onto something closer. This helps to effectively communicate with the viewer about the more important things to focus on, like the farm equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b.) <\/strong>Mostly all the shots are bright which really catches the eye. It emphasizes the rural area where the protagonist is and shows the nature of things, how sunny it is, etc. It adds a sense of happiness and warmness to the video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

c.) <\/strong>Not really sure about the use of colors because colors aren’t really my thing. #ColorBlindGang<\/p>\n\n\n\n

d.) <\/strong>Overall, the shots were really crisp. A lot of them were extremely bright, I think a little bit too bright, kind of harsh on the viewers eyes, at least for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Framing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

a.)<\/strong> One example of this is a basket handle. She is in the middle of it, and when it comes closer you can see she is framed within the handle of the basket. These techniques add to the visual variety of the story and makes for a more interesting piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b.) <\/strong>The camera movement, especially in the beginning, was very effective. My favorite use of the movement was when it was panning in the beginning across the seasons. As the pan reset, the seasons would change, which was very satisfying to watch, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

c.) Overall, the choices of composition and depth of framing was effective. Some of the zooms and focuses like mentioned before helped convey the point of the film, such as focusing on the tractor or other farm equipment.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Visual Style<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would describe the overall visual style as very bright. Most all the shots were very bright and sunny outside. Also, I would consider the visual style to be a bit choppy. it was edited well, but some of the clips jumped between eachother unpleasantly. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
