In Time Persists, there is very little dialogue. Most of the dialogue was presented by itself with no background sound. The pace for dialogue is really slow, occasionally having one person have one line. The cuts were made when the characters talk. There are lots of different sounds in Time Persists. One of the most prominent sounds in this film is the trees and leaves rustling and the sound of the toy xylophone. The sound of the xylophone being played adds and eerie feel to the film. The only music in this short film, is the person playing the xylophone. The music is at the forefront of the film, making you pay attention to it. The music is used mostly to add tension in the film which I think it does well. The sound works with the film to make the viewer on edge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Joe, there is no dialogue, but there are a lot of different audio effects and cues to go with the film, putting most of those sounds at the forefront of the film. The noise and sounds in the setting he is in are delivered very well, adding a lot of detail to the film. One of the main sound effects in the film is the paint dumping onto his shoes, causing them to turn white. This completely changes the story where that man goes to paint the rest of the shoes white. There isn’t any music or songs in this film.
