Because the man made the dog think that the boy was the one who hurt him it ultimately killed him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The boy runs to get his pills and when he gets to the man the dog will not let him close enough to give the man his pills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The white man brings the boy out to work. The man tries to help pull a pole out of the ground and seems to have a heart attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before they leave to go out and work the man is shown taking some sort of pill. (foreshadowing) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The flag that is risen is changed once the boy is grown because of a different rule of power in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dog only listens to the boy in the beginning. So the plantation owner abuses the dog in a way so the dog believes the the young boy was the one who abused him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
