Narrator: Dear self

(Black screen that flashes to a wide shot of a college student in bed in the morning)

Narrator: If you are reading this it means you started college congrats!

(close shot of her checking her phone with no notifications Maybe opening saved videos of a party)

Narrator: Mr. Hickey is having us write these letters to our future selves to get us excited about our future

(wide of girl slumping out of bed)

Narrator: sounds dumb right.

((girl goes to mirror and stares in dissapointment)

Narrator: in case you don’t remember what it is like to be a freshman in high school

((girl standing at a desk covered in alcohol bottles searching for pill bottles)

Narrator:  you aren’t missing out on much other than crowded halls, drama, and writing essays about our future selves

(close up of pills going in her mouth)

Narrator: Hopefully, you like college a lot better then I am currently liking high school

(close up girls face pulling a sweatshirt over her face)

Narrator: So I got a few questions for you

(wide of dorm room door shutting without girl in room)

Narrator: Where did you choose to go to school

(girl walking across the mall alone)

Narrator:  Penn state? Harvard? Maybe Yale?

(wide of people shuffling into the room but girl remains alone)

Narrator: Not that you have to but you know how mom and dad are about education

(lecture is in progress but it is obvious the girl is not mentally there)

Narrator: you saw the screaming match mom and dad got into when gage said he wanted to go to the military and skip college

(close up of her phone with a text from mom but she ignores it)

Narrator: What is your major

(aerial shot of girl walking in a crowd of people leaving class)

Narrator: I know Right now I wanna be a nurse

(back in the dorm hall she walks by another student noninteraction)

Narrator:  I can already see myself in that white coat

(Back in the dorm the girl falls into her bed wide then transitions for an extreme close up of her eyes shutting)

Narrator: Mom says that it is a lot of work and I won’t have time to socialize but how hard can it be?

(Eyes flutter open with a change in lighting to signal the changing of time)

Narrator: I pulled my first allnighter last week and it was easy

(rolling over she checks her phone close up to extreme close up with a snap from someone asking if she is coming tonight)

Narrator: Enough about grades How are your new friends?

(girl then proceeds to get ready for the party putting on makeup to taking shots and making a mixed drink)

Narrator: Do you still, talk to grace and Kelly do you guys decide to go to school together?

Narrator: I bet you guys will have the cutest dorms

Narrator: ohhhh do you have those nasty communal showers you have to share with people.

Narrator: how are all the new people?

Narrator: it must be soo different from the small town of Canton

Narrator: Mom says I’m a social butter so I know you’ll have no problem making friends

Narrator: What clubs did you join?

Narrator: Oh! Did you decide to join a sorority

(A wide of the girl walking across the screen on a sidewalk)

Narrator: You could be just like Elle woods

Narrator:  I hope everything is just as good as legally blonde said it would be

Narrator: Remember all the crazy stories kelly use to tell us about her older sister

(Walking in a crowded party we begin to see the girl loosen up and smile dancing with people as if she has known them for years)

Narrator: How she went to crazy parties and woke up at guys houses

Narrator: That’s scary but I know you, grace, and Kelly will stick together at parties

Narrator: but school comes first right

(the fun she is having begins to get out of control transitions quicken to speed up the pace)

Narrator: This letter probably seems silly

Narrator: Because you are busy studying or getting an internship

Narrator: Ya know doing real adult things

(quick flashing to black happens back to the party)

Narrator: I hope you are making mom and dad proud

(blackout)

Narrator: You’re gonna do great  

(blackout)

Narrator: Just remember to have fun

(Ambulance siren fades in along with the panic of others)

Tech needed-camera maybe a soft box and a quality mic to record voice over.
