The scene opens up with a city being pounded by snow, a camera fixed on the side of a brick building as a woman, huddled over, walks into the shot from the left, fighting off the wind and snow and exits out of the frame on the right. You can hear faint music coming from the woman’s earbuds.
The camera then cuts to different scenes, displaying animals, vehicles or other various objects, struggling to withstand this great storm. Everything is whitewashed. The camera cuts back to the woman, following her as she takes a left around the corner of the street coming into a busier street with people and the sounds of traffic and the wind rushing by. The camera pans out to reveal a large metropolitan area.
All of a sudden, the camera cuts to close ups of passer-byers’ faces in slo mo, their faces and worried expressions fixed on the huddled over woman, as she is unaware of what’s happening around her. The music intensifies and the audience is left wondering what’s going on. The music and worried looks keep intensifying up until the climax, when an arm reaches out from the left side of the shot, grabbing the woman’s hood aggressively, yanking her back. A slo mo shot shows the woman hitting the snowy sidewalk. The next shot shows a speeding car racing down the street with cops in pursuit. The man who pulled the woman back asks if she’s alright. Without knowing, she was walking into the street and was about to be struck by this getaway car. The scene ends with the woman looking around confused, finally meeting eyes with the man who saved her life, a little smile comes across her face.
