Possible subjects could include either a student run tech repair company called Whisker’s tech, or documentation of Ian’s capstone project. The two different options would vary in approach, as one would serve as an advertisement and one more as a documentary or project showcase. Both projects would make heavy use of sound as a method of storytelling, the addition of background music could contribute to the overall style of the work, however vocals will serve as the primary audio. Additional sound effects would be used sparingly.
For the actual project, the group decided to take on Ian’s capstone promotion. The final product will showcase Ian’s process, goals and outcomes. Video elements will include an interview with Ian, demonstration of the project in Unity, and animation for the sponsor’s outro as well as an intro scene demonstrating Ian’s models collected through photo-scanning. Sounds will include voice over to provide context to the project and possibly accompanying background music.
