Writing 3-Trystin Killer

A.) Topic:

  1. We decided to film UVAC since Mike works there. UVAC offers assistance to everyone on UMaine campus making it extremely relevant to every single person watching it in class.
  2. UVAC can have their program promoted through explanation of what they do here at UMaine.
  3. Nah, we’re going to do UVAC.
  4. Public awareness of UVAC is basically half of the message that we’re trying to get across. We want people to know more about it and what they actually do here for us at UMaine.
  5. No athletic groups will be filmed during this project.
  6. I think UVAC

B.) Sounds:

  1. We wanted to shoot the video inside of the ambulance so the sound quality sounds like he’s actually talking from the ambulance. It kind of gives it like an indoors vibe even though we were in a huge garage. Also, we want the noise “tone” to be important and serious. It’s important what UVAC does for our campus and is a serious message being conveyed about their services.
  2. The message being said, again, needs to be serious, but informative allowing the viewer to stay attentive, know it’s serious, and be able to get the message being conveyed.
  3. Pretty much any kind of low-intensity music is okay for this. It can’t be distracting in any way because the message is so important. So, instrumentals of some kind would be the most fitting.

C.) Writing:

  1. The client is UVAC and the intended audience is basically any person that either goes to UMaine, or lives in the surrounding towns.
  2. The goal is for everyone watching to be aware of UVAC and know to contact them for certain needs. Also, be informed on what they provide and are capable of.
  3. Some light instrumental music in the back ground, with Nate sitting up in the ambulance talking about what UVAC does and has to offer for UMaine. B-roll will be used to show some of the resources they have readily available. Shots of the ambulance corps from the inside shed a little light on what it’s like to be a UVAC employee. Along with shots of the ambulance taking off in action to show what an actual call is like.
