Client and audience: The client we chose is a friend of Brody’s who runs his own apparel line called Opaque, and makes screen printed merchandise like shirts, sweatshirts and hats, as well as some one-of-one hand made merch. The intended audience may be for young entrepreneurs and those looking to start up their own business. The objective is that they will hopefully realize the amount of hard work and dedication it takes to be an entrepreneur, especially in the fashion industry.
Content: I envision us filming a lot of B roll footage of behind the scenes in his workplace and scenes of him going to pick up his merch from the printer. This promotional video will also consist of an interview so the audience can hear from the creator himself talk about his business; how he got it started, what he’s doing now, where he intends to go with his business in the future, and maybe some tips for the young entrepreneurs out there. He is also scheduling a film and photo shoot next week so us getting some footage of him on the scene going about his normal routine would be great to have for our promo video. I’d like to try to get some strong visual edits and animation in the video as much as I can, as it will make the video more enticing and exciting for the audience to watch. I’d like to play with the audio effects as well, anything to make this video stand out and grab the viewers attention; which is the main goal of a promo video. Maybe layering some audio over B roll footage and every so often cut back to our client in his workspace talking about his business.
