This scene will be taking place at the Bangor Airport and the hotel attached to it. This event is taking place on the Tuesday night of Thanksgiving Break. There is a major snow storm outside that the main character had to drive in. This is also the first time the main character will be going home since the summer. There is one main character, one voice announcer, one hotel worker and if possible, other background people within the scene. The main character has been waiting to go home for about a month and is extremely homesick.
The scene starts off with a close up shot of the main character looking at her computer. They are watching a movie while sitting on the airport floor waiting to board. We then see them look up from their computer as they announcer says that the flight will be delayed for 2 hours due to the airport closing the runways. The main character is starting to get upset because they have been waiting to go home for months now. Ten minutes later there is another announcement that all flights for the night are cancelled and everyone must go down stairs to reschedule their flights. The main character starts to cry and calls their parents immediately after this. While on the phone with their parents there is another announcement saying that the highway is also closed. This means that they can not go back to their apartment and they will have to be sleeping on the airport floor. The main characters parents do not feel safe with that so they tell them go to across to the hotel to get a room. The call ends and we see everyone running across the street to the hotel and the main character puts together that they might not have enough rooms. So they pick up all of their stuff and start sprinting to the hotel to get in line. Finally, after 45 minutes a while in line, the main character gets the last hotel room. The scene ends with them flopping onto the bed and then it goes black.
To film this I would use a tripod that was able to pan, at least on camera and a boom mic.
