“Mac – N – Thief”
Beginning:
We are at the robbers house or apartment. He is in a dimly lit room with a lot of technology and a big map with plans written on the wall or whiteboard. The wall has an outlay of an apartment, a list of what to grab, pictures, and other information. You can assume that the robber has done a lot of planning and surveyed the apartment that he is planning to rob. The robber is dressed in all black. He is working fast and seems a to know what he is doing. He is looking over all the plans and making sure that everything will work. Finally he steps back, looks at it all, grabs his gear, and leaves the scene. This scene will use slow panning shots and close ups of the robber and his plans to build suspense and intensity.
Middle:
We are at the apartment that the robber is targeting. The owner either leaves or says goodnight to his roommates and goes to sleep. The lights will be turned off. Then we will see a shot of where the robber will break in. The robber sneaks up and picks a lock or simply opens a door/window. He is now in the apartment. He could take out a list of what he wants to steal and give it one last look. Just as he is making his way to the bedrooms, he stops and looks at the kitchen. In all the darkness, a light is illuminating a box of mac and cheese. The robber stares at it and you can hear his stomach growl. He looks at his watch/ list one more time and runs over to the mac and cheese. You see him quickly get all the supplies needed and he makes the food on the stove. When he is done he sits at the table and eats the mac and cheese. From here he could either look through the cabinets and fridge and eat more food or he could quickly leave. Fades to black. This scene will use shots from outside looking in a window to show that the robber is watching them leave. Then it will use closeups to build intensity when he breaks in. Fast cuts and closeups will be used when he is making the food for a comedic effect.
End:
The owner will either come back or wake up and walk out into the kitchen. He will immediately notice his box of mac and cheese missing and freak out. He will then check the cabinets and fridge and realize that almost all of their food is gone. He will be trying to figure out what happened and questioning his roommates. Show an open door or window and have the guys figure out that they were robbed. Cut to the robber in his bed, sleeping with food and boxes of mac and cheese all around him. The end.
