One of the communities I cherish alot and have lots of great memories made, was a small city town called Tartu. Located in the country of Estonia, which has a small population but is their own prideful state. Which makes Tartu so special to me because of their community that they represent themselves as. Which is a hard working, fun but energetic, old fashioned themed looked, but as young and talented individuals. It’s not something that you get to experience anywhere, you have to commit to that lifestyle and people around you. Which i see has lots of value in it because it makes you fit in as one’s social group. I wouldn’t want to see change happen in the environment around it. As the whole town looks like a giant ancient university town, which looks very out of date but feels young. If changed to look more of a modern of a town, then you just wouldn’t have the same feels and outlook.
One of the things that this small city has going for its community that stands out, is how technologically advanced they are. With the whole area and country consists of free wifi, which is a human right to have within the state. Meaning that it enables to you be connected to online services form anywhere you are with zero cost to it. So it will unite the community to be connected more closely. With also being advanced society with all the resources at your fingertips to explore and access at any time.
Another technology that is very commonly brought in the community, is having everything done with digital devices. Meaning that you rarely have or see anything documented or done without a device. Everything is done by electronically, from paying taxes, voting, registering, education, ect. You rarely use or see any paper, as devices are replaced to make your life fast, free, and more accessible. As everything is secured and runned by the government system to live a more advanced society that is always up to date. Witch just a simple id card that all your services are back up on.
For banning technology’s there isn’t really anything that seems to have any harm towards the community. As it servers a great environment that for all is able to enjoy with freedom. It makes the community more younger and works to a brighter future. It’s all done by having trust between the e-government between the and its citizens. As it provides excellent service, protection, and is heavily enforced in security. Along with privacy that is respected, to make a community in Tartu that looks and values their old properties. But also feels new and free to live in a society that is connected at all times. A place that is defined as a “city of good thoughts” which i agree strongly because how young and advanced they identify themselves as.
