I chose this as Unsupporting of my gender identity because as women we are told to be skinny and in media we see the “ideal” woman eating salad
I chose this image as unsupporting of my gender identity because this creates a stigma that it is okay to have a lack of confidence.
I chose this image because as a woman i don’t believe men have a right to decide what women can and cannot do with their bodies
I chose this video that supports my gender identity because it displays different kinds of people and that we all do not fall into one category
I chose this image because as women we are told we need to be strong to fight the stereotype of being weak but I think it is human to show emotion despite the gender
I chose this image because social media is full of images that bring down women but and make them feel they have to present a certain way
Originally Snapchat users were only identifiable by user names but in 2016 Bitmoji’s were implemented. Bitmoji’s are designable avatars that reflect you. You have the ability to choose everything from the outfit it wears to the beauty marks for the face. With Bitmojis being implimented it allows you to put a human-esk face and humanize the social media more. Before there was a disconnect with just sending things but this potentially makes people think twice about what they are sending. previous to this installment Snapchat was used for sending nudes due to the image “disappearing” after a set period of time but that is on the decline with the bitmoji update. coincidence, maybe.
