The newly released iPhone with the Face ID option to unlock the phone might have been released too early. The Face ID doesn’t work correctly with people who aren’t white.
Google face recognition doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to. Google is confusing the facial structure of black people with gorillas and are offering those people a $5 starbucks gift card voucher.
Self driving cars can apparently be dangerous for black pedestrians as the self driving technology isn’t recognizing black people. This would be a huge safety concern.

Obama managed to become the first black president. It also happens to be the same time technology and social media are starting to evolve into something that takes over people’s lives. He was able to show people how great he was through new technology rather than just TV conferences.
Multi-colored emojis were introduced to allow people of all races to use them in the way they please.
Video game character customization has evolved and has allowed characters to be created using any race.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think about altering yourself and creating a version of yourself that you can’t physically create is the bit-moji feature on snapchat. This allows users to make an avatar of themselves that appears on their profile and new people adding you on snapchat would assume that avatar looks like you. The only thing is with this is that creating an avatar that doesn’t exactly represent you isn’t that big of a deal. As with snapchat people are constantly sending pictures of themselves to everyone.
