For the purposes of this project I worked with Brock Radford and Chris Anderson.
Our presentation outlines how social media and technology fulfill our safety and physiological needs, but fails to meet our need for belonging and need for esteem. Our presentation additionally covers why our upper needs go unfulfilled, and how this could change moving forward. Using the viewpoint of one of our sources, and my own viewpoint, we further elaborate on the fact online anonymity negatively impacts online communities. Online anonymity, as it is, acts as a double edged sword both protecting privacy but also allowing individuals to boldly antagonize with less repercussion than one would feel in a physical setting.
