1.  Back in journal 7, i focus on tech that enabled more accessibility for people to use services to do and get around easily. First is the tech that allows to have free wifi everywhere you go for no charge and at reliably fast speeds and ranges. The community and they country benefit from this greatly has this made a huge step in the future. We know wifi is everywhere as “since 2002 , the government built a free Wi-Fi network that covered most of the populated areas”(Goplaces). Which is very relatively clear that the government would produce great amounts of wifi bandwidth connection across the whole country because of how people adapted to it. It was the first country in the world that adopted online voting back in 2005 because of how everything seemed to work out faster and freely with wifi. My second tech is the digital id card with their services that made them a digital society. it was produced by the government that allowed all services to be connected with the citizens. “Today, almost all government services are managed online. Citizens, armed with a chip-and-pin identity card, can run their affairs from a laptop or phone, anywhere there is connectivity”(Goplaces). Although this is made out of hard plastic like the driver’s license we have here in the us. The chip goes a long process and inspection to make sure every little part is encrypted with security protocols to have critical detail listed to make this accessible. “The chip has two interfaces: regular contact interface and contactless interface (NFC interface). The latter enables services to authenticate the client by a wave of the ID card. The capacity of the new chip has increased, enabling to add new applications such as electronic tickets in public transportation or other electronically issued certifications”.  Very heavily produced and cared for as the citizen need this to carry on with their day to day lives.

2. By having free wifi it has been a big impact toward my community as all of its used to its full potential. With free wifi access the amount of time is saved shows you why it’s better to do things online than offline.  “As 95% of tax returns are completed online and businesses can be registered in a matter of minutes”. The amount of free time you get from that would benefit everyone to enjoy the best things in life, as you can get 4G coverage even in the middle of the woods! Within the remote places you could think of not having any connection at all you would think it would be at the woods, desert, or the ocean. But it’s possible, as the community i chose started with the CityWifi project that made it all happen. The “CityWiFi project was started in cooperation between Tartu city government and website wifi.ee in December 2004, when free WiFi was provided by eight restaurants and cafes. There is constant interest in the project by enterprises as WiFi brings them customers and has quickly become a standard service in Estonia. Supporting CityWiFi, Tartu city assists the development of our cityscape, providing necessary services for citizens as well as for tourists. Many guests of the city have taken interest in this project”(Tartu). This was a big deal as this was a success launch story by the community that looks back how their digital society became a reality. Which others saw noted well as “Tartu CityWiFi project belongs amongst the oldest in the world, as most big cities started their own CityWiFi projects in later years. One of the few cities that started earlier was New York in 2002”. Which also is the seconds worlds best free public wifi service in the world. Going on to my second tech which is the Digital  Id card enables any service to be accessible anywhere,(even the woods), to file your taxes in 3 minutes. It’s so easy, fast, and accessible that even if you went on your vacation and suddenly need to sign a document for your business company, you have no worries because you have the ID card that enables to electronically sign. Even have the change to vote for the elected leader of the country and much more. Like Use ID cards to pay for public transportation, pay for parking using a mobile phone, conduct bank transactions online. Receive digital prescriptions from the Doctor, even remotely. Declare tax online. Students can check grades, learning progress and access learning materials. Create a new company within 18 minutes on your PC. Apply for government aid, (e.g. maternity leave pay). So pretty much anything that person who would fill out and waste millions of trees doing, with countless of stress and hours taking ways their lives. I don’t see a better option that my community adopted from free wifi, to doing everything in minutes saving time and stress over complication.

3.  For this question it’s quite simple as everything is decided and run by the government. It’s clearly seen that the benefits of the community and the whole society reactions to technology running their lives is the right choice that was made. The community and the government are in a strong agreement to keep their digital environment secure and private as possible.  Which is followed by the law for everyone to follow and respect, for which keeps this in order and build greater relationships over time. As also Barack Obama agrees by saying

“You’ve become a model for how citizens can interact with their government in the 21st century.”

– Barack Obama in Tallinn, September 2014

For my self being a e-resident of having my own id with me, i can be connected in the forest to make my own online business in 18 minutes if i wanted too. Because this technology is not found anywhere, and seeing growth of everything working out smoothly. Which i think answer of how the decisions are made? Is determined by what we want to see in the future.
