The initial idea for this project is simple. Help children, young adults, and general adults with executive dysfunction issues through the difficulties involved with those issues without utilizing fear tactics to do so. Instead, The final product will use an almost imaginary friend to help bring a healthy dose of reminders and kindness that attaches a more emotionally resonant face to those reminders than an everyday notification on your phone.

This project has two major aims, to assist in memory of tasks and challenges, Without instilling a fear of failure that can manifest as many unhealthy behavioral patterns that come naturally when negative reinforcement is used on people who already suffer from emotional dysregulation. And to assist with maintaining healthy habits from an early age, again through gentle reminders.

This project’s hypothetical timeline is to be made as a capstone project, with myself making it over the course of the next two years, at least to get a demo working.

the main cost to society I can think of is twofold. being that it’s another (marketable) fictional character for kids and adults to get attached to and the posibility for a company to exploit that for their own gain is absolutely possible, with all of the implications of that. in addition, the use of a fake person with fabricated feelings is difficult. A machine can pretend to love you, but it can’t expand its scope to care for people’s other needs like a human being can.
