I created a wind turbine with leaves lining each turbine as my logo representing the second permaculture principle, “Catch and Store Energy”. I chose this principle because I feel it is the most important and time-sensitive matter for us as an entire population to pursue in order to slow the negative and detrimental effects of global warming. Investing in renewable technology that catches energy from the air and sun such as wind turbines and solar panels is achievable for companies and governments, it is just a matter of where funding goes. Applied to nature, renewable energy technology will help prevent the disappearance and destruction of healthy soil and allow more ability to grow produce that is necessary to sustain and improve our communities and planet.
Renewable energy technology will hopefully end up replacing harmful outdated resources and tech that creates pollution in the air, land, and sea. This logo could help make tech more humane due to the green leaves seeming to sprout around the turbine, which I believe sends a positive and inspiring message that renewable technology is directly related to improving our climate and environment. A good memorable phrase for this logo could be “renewable energy improves the planet to create a greener world”.
A one-sentence description for this logo is “Storing energy through renewable technology to restore the earth”.
