I chose to do Observe and Interact as my topic because I think it is the core of what New Media is all about. Observing our surroundings and how we can enhance a situation and interacting with others can bring more ideas together to create something great. In the tech world it is important to pay attention to trends and try to find out what the next big one will be, because at the end of the day it’s a business and we all want our products to perform well. It’s also important to get in the mind of a consumer to understand how they will react to whatever you have created. Observing and Interacting is the basis of all of our social interactions in nature. When we are first learning how to socialize with others we use this process. Observing the situation and what other people are doing and then you interact with the environment or the other people in it. Another example of this in nature is observing someone’s facial expressions or body language and interpreting what kind of mood they are in and then interacting with them in an appropriate way. I think a more tech-ie sounding phrase that could describe my logo and the topic itself is analyze and adapt.
I think the colors you chose for this logo are eye-catching and I appreciate the concept of the logo even more. I agree it can be useful to tap into the minds of consumer and acknowledge how they think!
