Description: Catch the sun and harvest it’s energy.

The principal I chose was #2: Catch and store energy. Typically, the energy source we immediately think of is the sun. It is an open cycle and has an abundance of energy. A lot of items are starting to use the sun as it’s energy source because it is free, sustainable, and healthy for the environment. I decided to have a fishing rod, an item typically used for fishing which could harm the environment. Fish are not abundant and excessive fishing could cause a downfall for their population. Instead, I wanted the fishing rod to be catching the sun and the line is starting to grow green. I wanted the fishing rod to slowly transition into something that could harvest the energy. While using the sun for fishing is not something that can be attainable, a lot of other tech devices can. The green growing on the line with the leaves shows the colors slowly moving up the line and that shows how using the sun can make tech more “green”.
