I think a lot what was talked about in class is true, memes are hugely important in terms of persuasion and propaganda in a way, bring both feelings of euphorbia, but also depression. Half of the younger generation spends 50% of their day looking through them. I think real meme culture as dumb as that sounds though is not based around delivering messages, propaganda , or any of that. Memes are the most unserious offensive polluted chaotic form of comedy on the internet. I honestly feel in this day offending someone or finding something of shock value is more important than anything which is why taking a 2012 default meme font and turning it into something positive of persuading. I think taking something and making it current and weird and funny will be able to connect with so many more people than a mid and obvious text image meme. Things are always changing. Memes are always changing.
I think the more dumb, stupid, but also relatable, the better. Connection is important, comedy is important, uniqueness is important. Sarcasm connects. I think initially grabbing attention is the most important, but doing it in a new, engaging, and positive way. Its easier for a meme to deliver a image or personality image rather than a direct message, I feel why this is why it can be used to slander politicians image so much.
Another quick argument is the first one is based around the rappers persona, he is a gang drill member, but then preaches good grades and study habits. This in a way is still just showing off a lifestyle which may be considered negative, and it is associating it with him. Unlike video, the second one focuses on comedy and weirdness, which brings more light and almost relatability to the character/artist.

-I hope you understand what I am saying, was hard to get brain on paper here.
