Our design is a new innovative way of taking care of yourself, while also taking care of the planet. Our bright colorful design hopes to increase the serotonin of our consumers, while also being quite practical and helpful in anyone’s day-to-day life. Our design is a cone-shaped glow lamp that helps you through your daily task, by letting you know your schedule, waking you up, or even sharing positive affirmations when you are feeling down. The cone is two-foot tall colorful UVB light that produces vitamin d as the sun would. By maintaining blood levels, vitamin D aids in the absorption of calcium and maintains nerve function. In addition, it maintains the strength, density, and health of bones. Vitamin D is also proven to aid in depression, and doctors even prescribe it often to assist with seasonal depression. Not to mention the cone would be made up of biodegradable materials and a large chunk of profit from the Emotional support vitamin D sunset cone (E.S.V.D.S.C) will be going straight to a cause that is working towards cleaning up our planet and putting a stop to global warming.
The criteria we use to select our product is based on how our bodies feel and how we feel physically. The design encourages calm, balance, safety, and support and revolves around human emotion. The reason we decided to base our product around human emotion is because mental health struggles seem all too familiar. More and more studies come out on the daily talking about the rise of mental health struggle amongst young people today. We wanted our product to guide its user through the day, and when it’s hard to get out of bed you have a little extra support on your side. A Lot of young people feel alone and our product can help. I feel as though my generation in particular struggles significantly more than other generations past, but what is the real solution, shoving pills down our throats to turn us into zombies? Or do we fight the struggle, and adapt to make ourselves stronger.
Our product can be used in any period of time, whether that be current or futuristic. This is something that can be used now and forever. I believe the target audience would be focused towards a younger generation, such as teens and young adults, the reason for this as mentioned before would be due to the growing mental health crisis amongst younger generations. Not to say that older people don’t struggle, but younger generations could be more open and optimistic to this new idea. You could see the product working in a futuristic world, just as you could today. I can see people being more dependent on it in the future, then now, as it seems things are only getting worse.
The starting cost of this product would be hefty. Sourcing the right materials that we need to make our product fully biodegradable would take time and money, along with the cost of hiring an advanced team to guide the way through creating this project and actually making it come to life. Although initially there would be a high cost rate, i believe after the produced is created it smooth sailing. Although we would need a team to work on new upgrades to the product and new features we would also need to create them. The highest cost of this would be paying employees for their time. Due to the technology involving our product it makes it a little bit more complicated, and ad on a lot more cost, but due to our products high help qualities, we can expect our product to cost at least $80.
