INNOVATIVE DESIGN: The product that I am interested in and could have potential for helping humanity is a realistic and immersive VR experience which can show people the problems of global warming. This program would take the world around us as it is and apply the effects of global warming to show how much the world will change as we keep moving forward in this same direction. It would be able to show the effects and predict what it would look like in 10-20-30+ years. The program would use sources such as google earth and satellite mapping to also show you what the city near you or a place that you are familiar with would end up like after more and more with the climate growing worse and worse. 

UPGRADED CRITERIA: The criteria that this would fall under is mostly attention but also emotional. This topic is obviously very important not just to my local community but humanity as a whole. Global warming and climate change is a crisis that is impending on all life across the globe. We all need to come to terms with it and band all together to find a solution, or else we will all certainly be in deep trouble. Climate change is not something that we can solve without working together. Without working together and creating an international plan this issue will not be solved. A large reason why not a ton is being done about this is certainly because we don’t feel an urgent and pressing need because its biggest problems will be down the road. However emotion is a very strong motivator and the idea of having the program demonstrate the negative changes from certain places that the user will know could cause that emotional response. This program’s first main purpose is to bring attention to the topic. 

SUPPORTIVE CONTEXT: There are so many people out there who are aware of climate change and the effects and would help support projects that bring awareness to this issue, including this program I am mentioning. This program would be supported by people from all walks of life and all over the world. Because climate change is sadly a political topic, there could be some backlash from certain political parties, but on the flip side there would likely be other parties that will support and share this experience. 

WEIGH COSTS: The first cost that would be apparent would be the cost to create and develop this application. Another would be the marketing and finding ways to get the program out in the world and known.
