Innovative Design:
The application would be called RestoranPlus. Primarily the application would be based on you sharing the place you like to go to eat by posting a picture of the restaurant or food. You can add your friends and see where they eat, but you will also be able to see people who go to the same restaurants as you. You will also be able to put money on the application and thus pay bills in restaurants that use the application’s services. If the app becomes popular enough, restaurants will probably allow you to pay through the app. If you paid through the app, you would get a 15% discount, it would pay off for the restaurant because maybe many more people would come to their restaurant.
Upgraded Criteria:
I chose the criteria ‘Group Dynamics’ because this application can help you meet new people who go to the same restaurants as you, and instead of sitting alone, after a while of using the application, you will meet most of the people who use this application and so you will rarely be in a restaurant eat alone. You can also see restaurants that are well rated and those that your friends go to. This app would separate people from the screen while eating, even for a short period of time. Another benefit for people would be a discount they would get in restaurants if they use the app. One of the main ideas that would guide this application would be a ‘dinner without a screen’ and it would try to show people how much they use their phones nowadays and try to spend time without it, even for a short time.
Supportive Context:
This idea could also be supported by large chain restaurants such as McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A and others. This idea can also be supported by local restaurants and it might help them to attract more people. People would use this application and in that way support it because of the discounts they would get but also to spend some time without using the phone.
Weigh Cost:
The costs would mainly be the creation and maintenance of the application. Also, maybe a bad thing for people would be that they might start using the app too much to see where their friends are, and therefore people would use the phone more which is different from the main idea of this app.
