In today’s day and age, hospitals have many problems with availability. Many patients have to wait weeks, months, or even years to receive surgeries or appointments for serious medical issues. It is inconvenient for people to wait just to become sicker. Our bodies and health are significant to all of us.

For this project, I came up with an innovative service tool to help patients who need medical attention fast. In the entire state of Maine, there are thirty-six hospitals. Many of these hospitals have thousands of patients coming in and out of them daily. Maine has a population of around one million people. Many people need medical attention but cannot get it because of the capacity of these thirty-six hospitals. However, I came up with a solution to solve this problem.
Creating service clinics around Maine where people can come and get the surgery done by a trained professional will limit the time people spend waiting to get surgery at a regular hospital. Other surgical clinics exist, but my service will be easier to access.

For the main criteria, I chose the emotional criteria. I believe humans must be able to find fast ways to stay healthy. From a personal experience, I am up for surgery in about a week, but it got me thinking about all the other people waiting for surgeries for months. It is not fair to those who need it. Around 11,000 people die a year because they cannot receive surgery. We must give surgery to those who need it.

Many people around the world lose loved ones because they are waiting for surgery. There will be many people who will support surgical clinics.

Prices for surgeries are cheaper than the average hospital costs. The materials, however, usually cost around the same as a regular hospital cost. According to the NTTC surgery center, surgical clinics can cost up to 6,000 dollars.
