INNOVATIVE DESIGN

This app is called InTune. It is an app that, at random intervals, asks for the user to share what song they are listening to, which will then connect them with other people in their area who are either listening to the same song, or are listening to the same genre. New people and new music. Follow people with music you like, follow artists you also listen to. Distance-based listening– can be adjusted.

UPGRADED CRITERIA

We chose the criteria ‘group dynamics’ because having a community is important to college students. It can be hard to meet new people and find ones with the same interests. With our app idea “InTune”, students (and everyone else) are able to meet new people based off their music taste. Music has always been a way to bring people together, and this allows people to discover new music as well. With the adjustable distance feature, it allows people to connect within a certain area.

SUPPORTIVE CONTEXT

Anyone who wants to listen to music and make new friends would support this, which in general is a majority of people. For instance, it would create a positive environment on a college campus as people connect through music. It would also help students who are struggling to get out there and make friends.

WEIGH COSTS

The expected costs include having people code the app, server maintenance, internet and data access, as well as beta testers.
