Through our group discussion we seemed to have various opinions about surveillance.\u00a0 No matter where we are and what we are doing we are always being watched\/listened to.\u00a0 This obviously has some positives but also has several negatives.\u00a0 People should absolutely have their right to their own privacy, which they do.\u00a0 But technology has advanced in such a way to where we need to purchase things like iPhones and High end laptops to keep up with our own education and progression of the human lifestyle.\u00a0 Some alternatives to keeping your life more private would be some pretty unrealistic occurrences.\u00a0 Instead of having a smart phone you would need a flip phone.\u00a0 If you shouldn’t even bother buying a laptop of you’re worried about people invading your privacy.\u00a0 But the thing is having a flip phone and no laptop isn’t practical at in 2019.\u00a0 Which is where these companies have the advantage.\u00a0 We don’t need these iPhones and Macbooks but at the same time we do.\u00a0 We need them for several things like work and school and just everyday tasks.\u00a0 In order to use these devices we are agreeing to a terms of service that we usually don’t read that allows these companies access to our private information.<\/p>\n
Personally I don’t have a problem with all of this surveillance.\u00a0 I think we can benefit from it more than it can hurt us.\u00a0 It shouldn’t be a big deal to anyone who doesn’t have anything to hide.\u00a0 All they are trying to do by watching and listening to you is give you advertising for things you would most likely want to buy, and to make sure you aren’t going to do anything illegal.\u00a0 I would rather have everyone be under surveillance so if someone were to plan on doing something bad it could be stopped before the bad act was committed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
