This is the hurtful meme I chose. Even thought it was “aimed” towards Taylor Swift, I doubt she has ever seen this or cares at all. I think it otherwise mostly harms girl’s who might not understand that this meme is misogynistic\u00a0and wrong. Taylor Swift releases many songs that are describing being in love and\/or breaking up with someone. This is a normal thing that every person will mostly likely go through. She is also an entertainer, and not everything she releases has to be a true story (side note). This meme is basically saying that because a lot of her songs focus on these things she MUST be the problem. I always hear these things aimed specifically towards Taylor Swift, who is a woman. Never have I heard the same things said about a man, at least to the degree it is about her. It just spreads a hurtful message, especially to young girls.<\/p>\n

This is the meme I created. I don’t think it would become as popular as the other meme is, mostly because there is a lot of writing and it isn’t really to the point. It’s mostly just a rebuttal. I also just feel like negative things are easier to spread, especially when it comes to memes because it tends to be those things that are “funnier” and easier to get people to stand behind. We are more likely to see something like the first meme and think “hell yeah Taylor swift does suck” then you are to see the meme I created and care at all.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
