The band I am in played a show at the Common ground fair over the weekend. I thought it would be a good opportunity to break through a comfort zone restriction and walk around with my camera for a while. I am not used to photographing strangers and can honestly say I have never done much of it at all; despite this, it was an enlightening experience. The Common ground fair is a large gathering of artisans, musicians and people who share a common goal for peace, respect and responsibility to our resources and a love for our natural world. these are some shots taken around the fair along with some of the recurring themes found. People were extremely receptive to being photographed and frankly the people who turned me down were people I know.
