-Use photographic storytelling to illustrate social issues

-Stand below a person and have them look down on you to have them appear more dignified.

-An example of a project that highlights social issues:

“When Willard Psychiatric Center in New York’s Finger Lakes closed in 1995, workers discovered hundreds of suitcases in the attic of an abandoned building. Many of them appeared untouched since their owners packed them decades earlier before entering the institution. ”

The institution dated back to the 1800’s, so at the time people with mental illness were often locked up and forgotten. Photographers captured the contents of these suitcases, and without words told a story of each unknown person who entered the hospital.
