My two subjects for my story are my uncles dog Darcy and my dog Scout. I was thinking about shooting this over thanksgiving break because that’s when I’ll be going home and I am stopping into my Uncles place for a celebration where I could take pictures of his dog and of his dog’s perspective. I would also be going to my house where my German Short-haired pointer named Scout is. I think i could get a lot of really good shots of my dog outside and playing and I would do the same with Darcy. The pictures of my dog Scout are just from my iPhone and a place holder for the real pictures I’m going to get over break.
My story idea is to start off talking about two lonely dogs that have no one that they can relate to. I think i could capture this when the dogs are lounging around the house alone looking sad. Each dog is secretly dying to meet someone like them because they both only live around humans and i think that can be very boring for them. I would ten get a picture of Darcey loading up into the car and the whole time hes wondering whats going on where are we going how much longer etc. I would then take a picture of scout from outside of a house window as if hes longing for someone. i would then get an action shot of Darcey leaping out of the pickup truck and i would get one of scout and i would say that they were both so so excited to meet each other and then I would get a picture of them having blast playing and I’ll write about how they both finally found someone that is the same as them.
I then would take the story in a darker direction when the dogs hear their owners talking about leaving the next morning. I would get a picture of them both laying down and staring into the camera by holding a ball above the lens. I think this would be good because they both would look very attentive and also a little surprised. I would then get picture of them that night cuddling and having fun staying up late. I then would talk about how they’re both really going to miss each other and that they love each other which is very believable since they are dogs. I would then write a really difficult goodbye and take pictures of scout starring down the driveway and one of Darcey staring out the widow as if they are looking at each other and then that’s the end but they both know they’ll see each other again to play and have fun.
