PART 1: Classic Influences
Use the Review Criteria for vocabulary and mention at least 3 criteria, with an image for each criteria, placed in a gallery with 3 columns.
For images, do an online search for digital versions of photos of the famous photographer that you’ve chosen (you can use the image URL, and don’t need to download & then upload the image to use it in a gallery).
For each of the 2 photographers, try to pick criteria that you would find most useful for your own photos, and explain in a full paragraph for each question:
- What made this early analogue photographer stand out? ( 3 criteria 3 images)
- How does their historical context matter (ie what were the contemporary issues that influences the photographer)?
- What can you learn from the criteria you choose that may help with your own work? Use a few of your own images to show your insights. You can refer to a technique you’ve achieved, or to one that you might have missed but could apply to another version of the same scene. ie this is about learning, and seeing opportunities, not perfection.
