Premise
Army man is climbing the mountain to get to the top to find what he thought would be treasure but it’s just a trap, and he falls off.
Story Events
- Army mans friend finds him stealing from him
- Army man hears about the treasure from a friend.
- He decides to set out to find it
- He finds the mountain
- He starts to climb
- Stops for water on the way from the waterfall
- Then he makes it to the top and sees nothing
- Then he turns around and finds his friend that told him about it kicking him off the mountain.
- The friend feels bad the whole way home
- To deal with the guilt he donates all he can to his local charity
Seven Steps
- Desire: The army man wants to find the treasure so he can be rich –
(army mans friend finds him stealing from him)
2. Weakness and Need: The army man’s weakness is wealth and is doing whatever he can to get it.
(Army man hears about the treasure from a friend)
3. Opponent: The army man doesn’t know it but his friend is sick of him being all about money and using it as a way to show his better
(He decides to set out and find it)
4. Plan: Both men think that they will walk away with the thing they wanted that day.
(He makes it to the top and sees nothing)
5. Battle: The battle is when he finally reaches the top and find there’s no treasure but find his friend, coming to attack him
(He finds the mountain)
6. Self-revelation: The friend was no better than the army man, they both were willing to hurt each other to get what they wanted.
(The friend feels bad the whole way home)
7.New equilibrum: The friend feels awful and wants to changes his ways, so he donates his extra money when he gets back in town
(To deal with the guilt he donates all he can to a local charity)
