{"id":13666,"date":"2021-10-11T17:43:42","date_gmt":"2021-10-11T21:43:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jolineblais.net\/nmd341\/?p=13666"},"modified":"2021-11-10T13:12:38","modified_gmt":"2021-11-10T18:12:38","slug":"task-7-prime-lenses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jolineblais.net\/nmd341\/task-7-prime-lenses\/","title":{"rendered":"Task 7 Prime Lenses"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Practice with 50 mm equivalent<\/h3>\n<p>Sometimes the most difficult lens to use to take a really fine photo is the one that&#8217;s closest to normal eyesight. \u00a0That&#8217;s because there are no &#8220;weird&#8221; or unusual effects to make the photo dramatic. \u00a0So the creativity is in your hands, not in the wide or zoom lens.<\/p>\n<p>Practice taking photos with a 50mm equivalent lens. \u00a0For Canon Rebel with an APS-C sensor, that would be roughly a 30-35 mm lens. \u00a0You can use a zoom lens set to that length OR even better get a prime lens and practice with that.<\/p>\n[Since the Boardman prime lenses are 24, 50, 85, \u00a0you might try either the 24 or 50, though the 24mm will be &#8220;wider&#8221; and the 50 &#8220;narrower&#8221; than normal eyesight. \u00a0It may still give you a sense of moving your body and angles to compose a good photo].<\/p>\n<p>Your task is try to see what might not be immediately obvious but is interesting to look at&#8211;colors, composition, subject, angles, whatever. \u00a0All at the same focal length, as close as you can to what the normal eye sees.<\/p>\n<p>To do this well you will need to <strong>move your body<\/strong> into many different positions&#8211;the photo doesn&#8217;t have to be what a lazy person see.
