Flight to Failure:

  1. Story Symbol
The main symbol my story is the plane. The plane represents the journey she is taking to get to everything she had ever wanted, but also makes her recognize that she can’t succeed at everything.
  2. Symbolic Characters
Protagonist- Kelly, overcomes her fear of failure in a freak situation.
  3. Symbolic Theme
The theme is in the title, the flight to failure, this story is about a girl who has to overcome her fear of failure in order to get home safely.
  4. Symbolic Worlds
The gas represents an unusable environment that provides an opportunity for Kelly to do the right thing.
The man on the radio in the control tower is helping her get home safe.
  5. Symbolic Objects
The manual plays a large role because not everyone can just do something via instructions, sometimes experiences and reality plays a larger role. The manual challenges Kelly, but also wakes up the co-pilot.
